Position Summary
The
VP, Data & AI, Commercial Analytics, drives the design, delivery, and measurable business impact of data and AI products that power pricing excellence, promotional optimization, and retail and commercial performance across global markets. This executive is accountable for converting strategy into execution—building, scaling, and optimizing data, analytics, and AI capabilities that improve price realization, enhance promotional efficiency, optimize trade and discount structures, and elevate retail execution and margin performance.
Leading a global team, the VP sets the vision, roadmap, and delivery model for pricing, promotion, and retail intelligence products, ensuring every initiative ties to commercial outcomes, customer value, and P&L performance.
In addition to execution leadership, this role serves as a strategic partner to Global Brand Presidents, Regional Commercial Leaders, Finance, and Revenue Growth Management teams—ensuring pricing, promotion, and retail strategies and investments are grounded in robust data, modeled for financial impact, and enabled through scalable digital products.

Strategic Leadership & Partnership:
- Define and own the multi-year pricing, promotion, and retail intelligence data and AI product vision and roadmap that unlocks enterprise-wide improvements in pricing architecture, promotional planning, trade effectiveness, and retail performance.
- Serve as the primary Data & AI strategic partner to Finance, Regions, Commercial, and Brand leaders, embedding pricing, promotion, and retail intelligence into annual plans, commercial negotiations, and performance management.
- Act as the domain’s technical and strategic owner, maintaining fluency across key systems, data assets, and analytical processes, including ERP (SAP), trade systems, POS, syndicated market data, retail performance data, and elasticity modeling.
- Represent the Revenue Pricing, Promotion, & Retail Intelligence function in enterprise governance, steering committees, and investment reviews to ensure alignment across business and data priorities.
- Translate strategic priorities into OKRs, value cases, and P&L impact models that quantify margin improvement, promotional efficiency, retail execution effectiveness, and revenue uplift.

Product Portfolio & Delivery Oversight
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the pricing, promotion, and retail data and AI product portfolio, ensuring solutions are designed for scalability, reuse, and cross-functional integration
- Act as the data and AI owner for pricing, promotion, and retail including:
- Price elasticity modeling and price corridor optimization
- Promotion and event forecasting, effectiveness, and ROI measurement
- Markdown, discount, and trade spend optimization
- Competitor and market pricing intelligence
- Retail sell-in / sell-out performance analytics
- Store-level, channel-level, and marketplace performance
- Oversee prioritization, funding, resourcing, and delivery across brands, channels, and regions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Data & AI Product Managers and Data Analytics experts.
- Partner with the Build Organization (Engineering, AI/ML, Platforms) to align technical architecture, secure resourcing, ensure delivery excellence
- Maintain deep fluency across systems and datasets including ERP (SAP), trade systems, POS, syndicated data (NielsenIQ, Circana), competitive intelligence tools, retail partner feeds, and global pricing and retail performance
- Partner with Digital & Marketing Data & AI teams to integrate demand signals, audience insights, and marketing effectiveness into pricing, promotion, and retail optimization models
- Establish processes to measure ROI, adoption, and value creation for all delivered products

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
- Serve as the Data & AI representative across Finance, Commercial, Brand, and Retail leadership forums, guiding decisions related to pricing corridors, promotion calendars, retail investment allocation, and discount strategies.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Brands, Regions, Retail, and Technology partners.
- Enable enterprise adoption of data-driven pricing, promotion, and retail performance strategies through insights, tools, and training.
- Advocate for responsible, ethical, and compliant AI use, particularly in automated pricing, promotion, and retail decisioning.
Governance, Operations & Performance
- Ensure all pricing, promotion, and retail intelligence products adhere to enterprise data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Manage budgets, teams, and OKRs in coordination with Finance and Strategy & Ops.
- Deliver transparent leadership reporting, including pricing, promotion, and retail product performance dashboards; forecasting accuracy and model performance; and realized financial impact such as margin improvement, promotional ROI, and retail execution uplift.
- Partner with Governance, Architecture, and Strategy & Ops to evolve operational maturity, capability models, and workflow automation frameworks.
Qualifications
- Deep domain expertise in pricing strategy, promotions, margin optimization, and revenue growth management across multi-channel global businesses.
- Experience owning pricing, promotion, and retail data ecosystems, including POS data, syndicated data (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana), competitive pricing sources, retailer partner feeds, store-level performance data, and global price ladders.
- Strong analytical background with fluency in elasticity modeling, demand forecasting, scenario simulation, offer optimization, and predictive financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of retail and commercial performance analytics, including sell-in / sell-out performance, trade spend, assortment, and in-store activation insights.
- Technical fluency in cloud data platforms, AI/ML enablement tools, integration frameworks, and advanced analytics environments.
- Experience leading global teams and driving cross-functional digital, data, or AI transformation initiatives across Finance, Commercial, Brand, and Retail organizations.
- Experience defining data architecture, data quality frameworks, metadata, semantic layers, and governance models for pricing, promotion, and retail datasets.
- Proficiency in Agile and product-centric delivery methodologies.
- Strong executive communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite decisions on pricing strategy, promotional investments, retail performance, and revenue growth.
Pay Range
The anticipated base salary range for this position is
$221,600.00 to
$377,200.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
