DESAPRO is an international leading company in the design and manufacturing of aluminum cases for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive strategic planning. You will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and adjusting production schedules to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and meet customer demand while ensuring the highest quality
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
- Implement and control the production schedule
- Efficiently allocate labor, machinery, and raw materials to meet production targets.
- Analyze workflow, layout, and production methods to recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with design and quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement engineering changes.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for production employees
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, productivity, and safety projects.
- Maintain and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
- Prepare and maintain production reports
- Monitor production metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate production meetings, coaching sessions, and team communications.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of Production Planning experience required
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and process improvement tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite; Aptean M2M and CAD experience are a plus.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working on the production floor.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a small or mid-sized manufacturing company.
- Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems.
