Operations Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite, Monday–Friday)

Reports to: VP of Operations

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Manager to support and scale our day-to-day operations across eCommerce, retail, and wholesale. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination between our warehouse partners, internal teams, and international stakeholders.

This person will play a key role in driving timely and successful eCommerce launches, ensuring inventory readiness, system accuracy, and cross-functional alignment ahead of all product drops.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is solutions-oriented, and has a strong understanding of fulfillment, logistics, and customer experience within a DTC brand.

Key ResponsibilitieseCommerce Launch Readiness (Critical)

Own operational readiness for all eCommerce product launches, ensuring timelines are met without last-minute blockers
Partner closely with warehouse teams to ensure inventory is received, processed, and put away in advance of launch deadlines
Ensure all inventory is accurately reflected in Shopify (availability, locations, preorder status, etc.) prior to launch
Communicate proactively with Marketing and eCommerce teams on inventory readiness, delays, and launch risks
Validate order logic, ship settings, and preorder configurations ahead of launch
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that could impact launch timing or customer experience

Fulfillment & 3PL Management

Oversee inbound and outbound operations with 3PL partners, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability
Manage ASNs, inbound shipments, and receiving timelines
Monitor and improve returns processing, ensuring SLAs are met and backlogs are avoided
Own outbound fulfillment workflows, including order routing, ship codes, and order logic
Support preorder management and ensure proper allocation and fulfillment timing
Oversee pack-out processes and ensure brand standards are met
Oversee integrations and workflows across platforms including Global-E and Loop Returns
Support onboarding and operational setup of new 3PL partners (e.g., JAS and future partners)

Inventory & Supply Management

Coordinate supply management across fulfillment centers and internal needs
Generate and manage purchase orders based on provided inputs
Oversee replenishment shipments to retail locations and pop-ups, including communication with store teams and tracking deliveries
Ensure smooth international logistics and customs clearance for retail replenishment shipments

Wholesale Operations

Manage day-to-day wholesale communication with partners and internal teams
Create and manage order confirmations (OCs) and invoices
Oversee order management and uploads to ensure accuracy and timely processing
Generate and coordinate shipping labels for wholesale orders
Ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of wholesale shipments in alignment with partner expectations

Customer Experience & Cross-Functional Support

Act as a key partner to the Customer Service team, supporting escalations related to fulfillment, shipping, and returns
Provide ongoing training and product knowledge support to CS to ensure best-in-class customer experience
Identify root causes of operational issues and implement scalable solutions

Operations & Process Optimization

Provide regular operations updates to leadership with clear insights and action plans
Identify inefficiencies across fulfillment, returns, logistics, and wholesale workflows and drive improvements
Support execution of sample sales and other operational events
Ensure smooth onboarding and process documentation for any new vendors or partners

Team & Collaboration

Reports directly to the VP of Operations
Works closely with the Supply Manager —strong communication and cross-time-zone collaboration is essential
Partners cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Retail, Finance, Marketing, and Wholesale teams

Qualifications

4–7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or wholesale operations within eCommerce or retail
Strong experience working with 3PLs, fulfillment operations, inventory management, and launch coordination
Hands-on experience with Shopify and inventory workflows is highly preferred
Familiarity with platforms such as Loop Returns, Global-E, or similar systems
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple workflows and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally and internationally
Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a focus on accountability and execution
