Mulberry Talent is partnering with a Portland-rooted retail brand with nearly 50 years of history.

They are looking for a hands-on Multi-Site General Manager to help lead the next chapter of growth. Built around beautifully curated kitchen, home, and furniture essentials, the company has evolved from a beloved kitchen destination into a full home lifestyle retailer.

What do they need in a leader? Someone who loves being close to the business - in stores, occasionally in the warehouse, and with the team - someone who thrives in a fast-moving, highly visible role where no two days look the same.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing three retail locations, warehouse operations, and e-commerce. You’ll spend meaningful time in the field, ensuring execution is strong, customers are having great experiences, and teams are set up to succeed.

This role blends strategy and execution: You’ll set direction, but you’ll also be close enough to see what’s really happening and jump in when it matters.

What You’ll Own:

Leading the Business: You’ll own performance across stores, warehouse, and eComm, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence while keeping teams aligned and focused.

Running Great Operations: You’ll ensure strong day-to-day execution across all locations, from customer experience to merchandising & buying, to staffing, scheduling, and fulfillment. You’ll be close enough to the work to see issues early and help solve them.

Driving Results (and Understanding the Numbers): You’ll own the full P&L and use it as a decision-making tool to manage revenue, margins, expenses, and forecasts with a focus on sustainable growth.

Making Product & Marketing Work Together: You’ll partner with buying, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure strong assortment, compelling product presentation, and effective promotions that drive traffic and conversion.

Building Great Teams: You’ll lead and develop a team of managers across all functions, building a culture of accountability, trust, and high performance.

Keeping the Engine Running Smoothly: You’ll oversee the operational backbone: Systems, facilities, and processes, ensuring the business runs efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of retail leadership experience, ideally in multi-site environments
Strong financial acumen with full P&L ownership experience
A grounded, hands-on operator who enjoys being close to the business
Experience across retail operations, merchandising, inventory, or similar areas
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop strong teams
Comfortable working across stores, warehouse, and e-commerce
A bias toward action and continuous improvement
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but real-world experience matters most

More about the role: This is not a desk-bound leadership role. You’ll be present in stores working alongside teams, understanding the business firsthand, and helping shape how it runs day-to-day. It’s fast-moving, highly visible, and ideal for someone who enjoys building, improving, and leading from the front.
