Position

The Assistant Manager, Retail & Operations will be an integral member of the North America Retail Innovation team, serving as key support in the execution and operations of new retail concepts, including stores, temps & pop-ups, and concessions, always considering a luxury, omnichannel client experience. This role will require organization, retail technology expertise, digital fluency, analytical depth, creative resourcefulness and resilience to commit to operational excellence throughout all stages of planning and execution.

Retail Innovation Team Mission

The Retail Innovation team at Parfums Christian Dior is leading the evolution of luxury fashion beauty and fragrance through the exploration and testing of new and distinctive retail experiences and models across Direct, Wholesale, and Digital, to further enrich client relationships with the Maison.

Job responsibilities

Store Operations & Support

Maintain store opening operations tracker with key dates & deliverables, with regular updates to Retail & Operations team.
Provide post-opening hyper care by supporting all retail tasks on site including strengthening boutique team expertise in operating retail systems and technologies, as well as understanding of boutique policies and procedures.
Support field team in coordinating repairs, maintenance, visual merchandising changes, security coverage.
Provide ground support by working in boutique 1 week a month.
Be a point of contact for store staff; help to gather and raise retail feedback to cross-functional teams. Monitor all fields communication.
Manage supply, hospitality, packaging, and tools ordering for stores. Ensure the allocation across all stores on a consistent basis, to ensure image is always to standard.
Manage opening orders of sellable and non-sellable product for stores and gratis for Retail Innovation team.
Promote a positive, united work environment within the team and across departments while challenging status quo.

Retail Technology & Data Management

Support retail inventory needs, troubleshoot and coordinate technology and data issues.
Be the expert in all retail IoT (Internet of Things) – including but not limited to POS systems (Infoware - backend and frontend), advance analytics (PowerBI), clienteling platforms (DiorConnect), mobile omnichannel sales platform, digitalized machines and systems (engraving machine, SmartSafe, music system, lighting apps, alarms, etc.)
Support out-of-boutique activations (events, pop ups, masterclasses) by leading mobile point of sale operations – from setting up POS and ensuring sync with multiple platforms (ERPs, PowerBI, CRM data lakes) and supporting on site.
Ensure retail data flows upstream and downstream smoothly and investigate to troubleshoot with IT and retail field.
Coordinate and optimize remote D2C door to door sale process by leveraging existing technology, Supply Chain and vendors (systems, local messengers, white glove, UPS). Ensure digital trails matches physical trails and loop closed.

Digital Transformation & Content Management

Own and manage digital retail resource sites in 2 languages (EN, FR), improve UX/UI for web and mobile pages, linking site with other sites or help desk.
Digitalize operational contents and create end-to-end digital solutions to processes.

Profile

3+ years of retail operations experience. Ideally with experience in beauty and fragrances, vertical retail, D2C, and / or luxury fashion environment.
Experienced in leveraging advance analytics to optimize operational process and visibility.
Familiar with retail inventory management, luxury supply chain and related software.
Understand data architecture, data flow and UAT (user acceptance test).
Experienced in digitalizing end-to-end processes, driving efficiencies through analytics and technology.
Knowledge of UX/UI design, PowerBI, Photoshop, POS systems, performing UAT,
Resolving data, platform and system gap a strength.
Expertise in POS & inventory management systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong time management and prioritization skills. Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Maintains composure and remains solutions-oriented even in high pressure, ambiguous situations.
Able to distinguish which issues, dependencies, and risks are critical and demonstrate flexibility when prioritizing.
Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to wear multiple hats and be hands-on and in the details.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Sense of urgency is critical.
Self-starter, ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for their work.
Passion for the beauty and fragrances industry, competitive landscape & trends.
Experience working with a foreign parent company a plus.

Job Requirements

Candidate must be available to work in New York City.
Ability to work a full-time, but potentially varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Up to 25% travel required.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published range of $80,000-$90,000.00.
