Role Description The Senior Manager role is a full-time position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with flexible work-from-home days. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives, setting strategic priorities, and driving execution to meet business objectives in a fast-paced packaging environment. The Senior Manager will oversee team performance, coordinate resources, and ensure alignment with operational, financial, and customer-focused targets. Daily responsibilities include analyzing business data, preparing reports and presentations for leadership, managing stakeholder communications, and guiding process improvement projects. The role also involves mentoring team members, supporting change management, and contributing to long-term planning to strengthen Smurfit WestRock’s competitive position.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and process improvement within a manufacturing, packaging, or industrial setting.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership, influence stakeholders, and manage change.
Solid business acumen, with understanding of financial drivers, operational efficiency, and customer-focused service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
Experience in global or multi-site organizations and familiarity with hybrid work environments is beneficial.
Ability to work in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area on a hybrid schedule and travel to facilities or customer locations as needed.
