The Opportunity
Beeontrade is seeking a transformative leader to build and scale our Ocean & Air product vertical in the Americas. You will take full ownership of one of the largest and most critical P&Ls in the company. This is not a maintenance role — it’s a build-and-scale mandate, where you’ll shape procurement strategy, pricing, carrier partnerships, and commercial operations from the ground up.
You’ll design and own our freight infrastructure across the U.S., leading a team of specialists, supporting our sales engine, and directly contributing to Beeontrade’s growth trajectory. You Will
- Manage a very sizeable Ocean/Air P&L and team across America who will develop and maintain relations with ocean carrier partners including global and regional partners
- Manage a team who will design, build and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage
- Manage a large diverse team of leaders of leaders
- Manage a team who will execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy
- Procure competitive market rates, design products and manage yield
- Be responsible for responding to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team
- Manage a team of Market experts in Ocean/Air Freight
- Actively support Beeontrade’s sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads and joint sales visit
- Educate our teams with trade specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies
- Scale ocean and air freight for the biggest region in Beeontrade
- Own air growth in the Americas by leading a team of regional Sales and Pricing team to drive business development throughout the region.
- Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business, tracking metrics such as conversion and take rate.
- Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments.
- Develop a US Export procurement strategy by negotiating contracts, fixed allocations and potentially BSA’s, monitoring utilization of capacity.
- Administer quality management with US Export carriers driving on-time performance and milestone timeliness.
- Own take rate by managing air freight cost and pricing inputs. You are empowered to drive yields by leveraging the right carriers, routings and consolidation strategies.
- Be the executive-level POC for all North American airline relationships.
- Provide commercial support to our largest global accounts, acting as an executive sponsor
- Partner with our sales organization on global, strategic RFQ’s by providing pricing strategy and commercial support.
- Build and scale Beeontrade’s U.S. Ocean and Air Freight commercial desk.
- Support and improve quote response for air, ocean, project cargo, direct shipper, and agent inquiries.
- Develop carrier, airline, co-loader, NVOCC, trucking, and warehouse relationships.
- Create pricing discipline, margin control, and job profit visibility.
- Support USA sales activity with market intelligence, pricing strategy, and customer-facing solutions.
- Build the first U.S. team structure, including sales support, pricing, customer success, and operations coordination.
- Work closely with Turkey and India teams to create a reliable global support model.
- Improve RFQ/tender response processes for regional and strategic customers.
- Develop scalable Ocean and Air Freight products for U.S. import/export lanes.
- Create clear KPIs for quote speed, conversion rate, job profit, follow-up discipline, customer retention, and operational performance.
- Help transition Beeontrade USA from founder-led execution into a team-led operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead U.S. Ocean and Air Freight product development.
- Create carrier and pricing strategy for major trade lanes.
- Support sales conversion by building fast, accurate, profitable quoting workflows.
- Train and develop future sales, pricing, and operations team members.
- Improve collaboration between U.S., Turkey, India, and UAE teams.
- Help establish Manhattan/New York commercial office rhythm and sales cadence.
- Build playbooks for quoting, follow-up, RFQs, customer onboarding, and account management.
- Act as a senior commercial and operational partner to the CEO.
- Identify new customer segments, trade lanes, and verticals where Beeontrade can win.
- Support nationwide sales expansion through team building, process design, and direct client engagement.
What You’ll Need
- 15+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree;
- Strategic vision and ground floor execution;
- Bias to Action, Process, Structure and Data;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
- An obsession with client happiness. You succeed when they succeed;
- Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally;
