Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Distribution Center Manager position based in Newport, AR. The individual in this role will oversee the daily operations of the distribution center, including inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping, and logistics coordination to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Additional responsibilities include leading and developing team members, maintaining safety and compliance standards, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing process improvements to optimize warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and shipping/receiving processes and WMS.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in a warehouse environment
- Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and implement operational improvements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a distribution or logistics environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders
