e are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Product Owner to join our team. In this role, you will focus on overseeing the quarterly planning, refinement, and requirements gathering meetings for our general ledger applications and proprietary process orchestration platform.
You will work closely with stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and technology teams, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure the platforms meet the evolving needs of our business. Your strong understanding of financial accounting principles, investment fund structures, and attention to detail will be essential in supporting the development and optimization of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of enterprise-scale finance technology initiatives, including enhancements to proprietary oversight and process automation platforms and the implementation of core finance systems such as an investment fund general ledger.
Execute day-to-day project management activities using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, dependency tracking, and delivery coordination.
Utilize JIRA and Confluence to manage project workflows, maintain accurate documentation, and provide visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams.
Draft, refine, and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria to translate business requirements into clear, actionable tasks for technology and data engineering teams.
Assist with project governance activities, including milestone tracking, issue escalation, risk identification, and coordination of resources to support on-time and high-quality delivery.
Contribute to process automation and workflow optimization initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, data quality, and reporting timeliness across finance systems.
Support technology evaluation and implementation efforts, including vendor coordination, requirements gathering, testing, and rollout planning.
Adhere to data governance, security, and compliance standards, ensuring documentation and controls align with internal audit and regulatory expectations.
Assist with change management and user adoption efforts, including training materials, user guides, and stakeholder communications for new systems and processes.
Collaborate closely with senior project managers, product managers, finance stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in financial services, finance technology, or enterprise systems delivery, preferably within a large, complex organization.
Experience supporting product management or project delivery for finance or data-driven technology initiatives.
Working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), with hands-on experience supporting sprints, backlogs, and iterative development cycles.
Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.
Experience writing and maintaining user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements in partnership with business and technical stakeholders.
Foundational understanding of finance systems and data concepts, including system integrations, data flows, and reporting solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience synthesizing technical and business information for various audiences.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and performance-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Expected annual base salary range:
$100,000 - $170,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
