AI/ML Architect

ProcessQ – Remote (United States)

Full-time | Senior Architecture Lead | Pod Strategy Role | 8+ years experience

What You'll Do

Own end-to-end AI/ML architecture for agentic AI platforms serving US life sciences companies. Design complete systems from clinical requirements through production MLOps, guiding 5-8 person engineering pods to deliver production backlogs in 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities

· Define complete AI architecture: clinical data → feature pipelines → agentic workflows → MLOps → production serving

· Architect multi-agent systems with tool-calling, human-in-the-loop, decision provenance for FDA/HIPAA compliance

· Design reference MLOps patterns: Kubeflow/MLflow pipelines, model registry, A/B testing, drift detection frameworks

· Guide pod technical decisions across parallel client engagements; review ADRs, system designs, critical PRs

· Translate clinical/R&D requirements into scalable AI blueprints and 4-6 week pilot roadmaps

· Ensure non-functional requirements: reliability (99.9%+), latency, cost optimization, auditability

· Partner with client CTOs/clinical leads on architecture workshops and production handoff strategies

· Build reusable components: Terraform modules, Helm charts, pipeline templates for life sciences AI workloads

Must-Have Skills (8+ years)

· AI/ML Architecture: End-to-end ML systems (data → training → serving → monitoring)

· Production MLOps: Kubeflow/MLflow/Ray, model lifecycle management, distributed training

· Healthcare Domain: FHIR/HL7 standards, HIPAA/FDA/GDPR compliance, clinical data governance

· Cloud Platforms: AWS SageMaker/Vertex AI/Azure ML + Kubernetes orchestration

· Technical Leadership: Architecture diagrams, ADRs, cross-functional team guidance

· Agentic AI: Multi-agent orchestration, LLM chaining, RAG architectures

· Hands-on Coding: Python/PyTorch + systems design for production AI workloads

· Proven AI architect with 4+ years healthcare/life sciences AI delivery

· Strategic thinker who designs systems that scale across multiple products/clients

· Hands-on leader comfortable coding architecture prototypes and reviewing implementations

· Compliance expert who embeds HIPAA/FDA requirements by design

· Client-facing communicator who presents architecture to clinical/executive stakeholders
